Cypress Lakes Resort is one of the Hunter Valley’s most complete wedding destinations - a resort-style property with accommodation, restaurants, and beautifully kept grounds that make it a popular choice for destination weddings where the whole group stays together. Bridal hair and bridal makeup at Cypress Lakes is something I do regularly, and I love the energy of a wedding morning where everyone is already on-site and the anticipation is building. I travel directly to your accommodation at Cypress Lakes on the morning of your wedding. Whether you’re set up in a villa, a lodge, or one of the resort rooms, I’ll come to you with everything I need. The resort has some lovely spaces for getting ready, good natural light and enough room to work comfortably for the group.

When a bridal party is all staying in the same resort, there’s a warmth to the morning that you don’t always get when everyone’s scattered across different locations. Champagne is opened, everyone’s together, and my job is to keep the whole morning feeling joyful and on time. I build a detailed timeline for every wedding, and for Cypress Lakes this is particularly valuable because resort schedules often have their own rhythms. I factor in travel time, group size, and the specific needs of your day so that by the time you need to be heading to the ceremony, you’re calm, confident, and ready.

I offer bridal hair, bridal makeup, and combined hair and makeup for brides and their parties. My approach is always personalised to the individual - I don’t have a signature look that I apply to everyone, I have a toolkit of techniques and an eye for what works for each face, each setting, each dress. For Cypress Lakes weddings, the lush resort greenery and outdoor ceremony spaces tend to suit a range of looks beautifully, from romantic and soft to clean and contemporary. Whatever your vision, I’ll help you refine and deliver it. Airbrush makeup is included in my bridal service at no additional charge, and it’s an excellent choice for the long, outdoor-ceremony days that Cypress Lakes is known for. Yes, I travel to your accommodation within the resort or nearby. Cypress Lakes is well within my Hunter Valley service area.
Can you handle a large bridal party at Cypress Lakes?
Yes, I regularly work with larger groups at resort properties. The key is a well-planned timeline, which I'll prepare with you in advance.
When should I book for a Cypress Lakes wedding?
As soon as your venue date is confirmed. Hunter Valley spring and autumn weekends in particular fill very quickly, 12-18 months ahead is ideal.
Do you offer a trial service?
Yes, trials are held at my Cameron Park studio. I recommend booking your trial a few months before your wedding so there's time to refine the look if needed.
How much does hair and makeup cost for a Cypress Lakes Resort wedding?
Bridal hair and makeup at Cypress Lakes Resort is $320 for the bride and $300 for each bridesmaid, lashes and airbrushing included. Hunter Valley bookings carry a travel fee of $150 to $200 depending on where you are staying, and there is a minimum of three people for hair and makeup. A bride with two bridesmaids at Cypress Lakes Resort is from $1,070.
