The Things Brides Ask Me Most
How much does hair and makeup cost for a wedding?
It is priced per person, so it depends on your party. Take a bride, two bridesmaids and the mother of the bride, all having hair and makeup: the bride is $160 for hair and $160 for makeup, each bridesmaid is $150 and $150, and the mother of the bride is $130 for makeup plus $100-$150 for hair depending on its length. That comes to $1,150-$1,200 for the four of you. Trials are $150 each and booked separately, travel is free across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, and the full price list, including flower girls, extensions and travel to the other regions, is on the pricing page.
Do I need to pay a deposit to lock in my wedding date?
Yes, a $300 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date. This is subtracted from your final balance. Your date is not held until the deposit is received.
Should I have a hair and makeup trial?
Yes. Always. The hair and makeup trial isn't just a practice run, it's where we figure out what actually works for your specific hair type, skin tone and face shape. It's also where we meet each other and establish trust. I've had brides come in wanting one thing and leave genuinely thrilled with something different. That discovery only happens in person.
Where are you based and how far do you travel?
I'm based in Cameron Park, NSW 2285. I service Newcastle and Lake Macquarie at no travel charge (parking costs passed on where applicable), and I travel to the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Central Coast for a travel fee of $150-$200 depending on location. For Upper Hunter and other areas, get in touch and I'll give you a specific quote.
How many people can you accommodate on a wedding morning?
I can accommodate bridal parties of up to 14 people. For parties of more than four, I bring in a trusted assistant artist at no additional cost to you. I personally lead every booking and complete all bride services myself, that never changes regardless of party size.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as your venue and date are confirmed. I book up to 24 months in advance and popular Saturday dates, especially October through April across all four regions, go very quickly. If you're engaged, now is a good time to reach out, even if your wedding is still a year or two away.
