Bellus Wins Wedding Diaries Editor's Choice Award

Wedding Diaries Editor’s Choice, four years running

The short answer

Bellus has been named a Wedding Diaries Editor's Choice Award winner for four consecutive years, 2023 through 2026, across four regions. The award is decided on real bride reviews rather than on entries or fees, which is why it is the one credential worth quoting: it measures what brides actually said afterwards.

Intro

Winning the Wedding Diaries Editor’s Choice Award once felt like an incredible achievement.

I still get a little emotional when I think about this. Winning the Wedding Diaries Editor’s Choice Award once felt like an incredible achievement. Winning it four years in a row, across all four of my service regions, is something I genuinely never expected, and something I am so deeply proud of.

Four Years. Four Regions. One Very Grateful Artist.

Bellus has been recognised with the Wedding Diaries Editor’s Choice Award for 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 - in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Central Coast. That’s four regions, four years in a row. I’ve been doing this work since 2007 and I have never taken a single booking for granted, but I’d be lying if I said this recognition hasn’t meant something truly special to me.

The Wedding Diaries editorial team evaluates thousands of artists across Australia each year. Their selection process looks at years of experience, the volume of past weddings, online presence and, most importantly, what actual couples say about their experience. The annual survey draws responses from over 24,000 couples. These aren’t industry insiders choosing each other; these are real brides and grooms talking about the people who showed up on their wedding morning. Being chosen by that process, in four regions, four years running, is not something I take lightly.

What This Award Actually Means

I want to be honest about something: awards like this aren’t won by the artist. They’re won by the brides. Every time someone takes a few minutes out of their honeymoon or the chaos of life after a wedding to leave a review, to fill in a survey, to recommend me to a friend, that’s what builds something like this. The award is a reflection of every woman who trusted me with her wedding morning, every bride who let me into her home or hotel room at 5am with a full kit and a lot of enthusiasm.

To every bride I’ve worked with across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Central Coast, thank you. This award belongs to you as much as it does to me.

What Brides Say Makes the Difference

When I read through the feedback that’s been shared about Bellus over the years, a few things come up again and again. Brides talk about feeling genuinely cared for, not processed. They talk about the trial being a real creative session, not just a run-through. They talk about arriving on the wedding morning and feeling calm because they knew exactly what was coming. They talk about looking at their photos and recognising themselves, but a more radiant, more confident version.

That’s what I work toward every single day. Not a trend, not a formula. Just the very best version of each individual woman I have the privilege of working with.

The Editor's Choice Award, Questions Brides Ask

What is the Wedding Diaries Editor's Choice Award?

An annual award given on the strength of verified reviews from couples who have actually used the supplier, rather than on a paid entry. Bellus has won it four years running, 2023 through 2026, across four regions.

Does an award mean the service costs more?

No. Bellus pricing is published in full on the pricing page and has not moved because of the award. Airbrush is still included at no extra cost, and Newcastle and Lake Macquarie still carry no travel fee.

Is Bellus still taking bookings?

Yes, currently for 2026 and 2027. Peak season, October through April, books twelve to eighteen months ahead, so the earlier you enquire the more likely your date is still open.
