How much does hair and makeup cost for a Bar Beach wedding?
A Bar Beach booking is priced the same as any Newcastle one. The bride is $320, which is $160 for hair and $160 for makeup. Bridesmaids are $150 a service, mothers of the bride and groom are $130 for makeup, and flower girls start at $60. There is no travel fee to Bar Beach, and parking near the beach is the only thing to allow for. Trials are $150 each and a $300 deposit holds the date.
Do you travel to Bar Beach for weddings?
Yes, Bar Beach is in my regular Newcastle coastal service area. I travel to homes, beachside accommodation and local venues throughout the suburb.
My ceremony is outdoors on Bar Beach, what do you recommend for long-wearing makeup?
For outdoor ceremonies I focus on long-wearing, humidity-resistant formulas that won't shift in salt air or heat. I'll build this into your look from the start and we can test it at your trial. Setting sprays and the right primer make a significant difference.
Can you create a relaxed beachy look, or do you specialise in more formal styles?
Both, absolutely. I work across the full spectrum from relaxed coastal waves and a natural glow through to polished formal looks. A Bar Beach wedding tends to lean toward the former, but I follow the bride's vision, not an assumed aesthetic.
